Metric-threaded hydraulic interfaces are common on European and Asian machinery and on components from those supply chains. The thread size alone does not identify the connection: metric threads appear with several different sealing forms.

Record the thread size and pitch together with the sealing form — cone, O-ring or bonded face. A metric thread does not confirm interchangeability with another metric connection of the same nominal size. Where the mating part cannot be measured, send its drawing rather than ordering to a near match.
