Category introduction
The sleeve crimped over the hose and the inserted fitting to lock the assembly together. Hydraulic ferrules are matched to a hose series and to the fitting's skive type, so they are specified by combination rather than by appearance — wrong pairing is the most common cause of a blow-off.
Selection notes
Match the hydraulic ferrule to the hose's nominal diameter and series, and to skive or no-skive hose construction. The crimp diameter and die set come from the ferrule and hose data, not from the fitting. When the hose is unbranded or the layer construction is unknown, send a cross-section of the hose end before ordering.
