Frequently Asked Questions

Questions Importers Ask Before the First Order

Six groups — product and specifications, minimum order and pricing, custom manufacturing, payment terms, shipping and customs, warranty and after-sales. Every answer below describes what we do on a real order, with no invented figures.

01 — Product & Specifications

Threads, Product Lines and Service Life

Which thread standards do you manufacture?

JIC 37°, ORFS, DIN 2353 (24°), BSPP / BSPT, NPT and JIS 30°. Tell us which port you are matching and we confirm the family with the quotation.

Which product lines do you cover?

Three: hydraulic hose fittings, transition & metric adapters, and quick disconnect couplings. Standard parts ship from stock; non-standard sizes and threads are machined to your drawing.

How is corrosion resistance proven?

Trivalent zinc (Cr3+) plating runs on 100% of production and is tested to 96 hours of neutral salt spray, so the parts survive sea transit and warehouse storage.

How long do the fittings last in service?

Around 12 months of service on quality-grade parts. Low-grade parts typically fail at 6–7 months, which is the cycle our buyers replace against.

Can you supply parts that meet EU and US import requirements?

EU & US market-access certificates are available on request. Tell us what your customs or compliance checks need and we send the matching documents with the offer.

02 — Minimum Order & Pricing

Trial Size, Model Mix and Reply Time

What is the minimum order value?

US$2,000 for a custom order. It is deliberately low so an importer can test the parts before committing to volume.

Can I mix models to reach the minimum?

Yes. Any model mix is allowed and there is no container requirement, so a single trial order can carry several part numbers and sizes.

Can the first order be a trial?

Most buyers start with a trial order to check fitment, thread accuracy and coating. The US$2,000 minimum is the size that trial is built around.

How fast do I get a price?

First technical reply within 2 working hours. Send part numbers, a thread standard or a photo, and the reply carries pricing, lead time and packing.

Does the price include freight?

Freight is quoted separately: FOB Tianjin / Qingdao by default, or door-to-door DDP including freight, customs clearance and duties. Give us the destination port or country for an exact line.

03 — Custom Manufacturing

Drawings, Lead Time and Packing

Can you make non-standard sizes and threads?

Yes. Non-standard dimensions, thread configurations, elbows and plating requirements are machined to your drawing in the same workshop.

How long does custom production take?

About 15 days after the drawing is confirmed. The clock starts at the confirmed drawing, not at the first enquiry.

What do you need to start production?

A confirmed drawing, or a sample sketch, photo and part numbers with the thread standard — plus the quantity split and the packing you expect.

Do custom parts get the same coating as standard parts?

Yes. Trivalent zinc (Cr3+) plating applies to 100% of production, custom runs included, against the same 96-hour neutral salt spray standard.

How is the order packed for sea freight?

Thread caps, anti-rust protection and moisture-barrier wrapping, packed in solid wooden export crates of roughly 2–3 m³ per shipment.

04 — Payment Terms

Deposit, Balance and Order Documents

What are the standard payment terms?

30% deposit to start the order, 70% before shipment. The same terms apply to a trial order and to a repeat shipment.

When does production begin?

Once the 30% deposit is received and the drawing is confirmed. Custom production then runs about 15 days.

When is the balance due?

The remaining 70% falls due before shipment, once the batch is finished and ready to load.

Are the after-sales terms part of the order documents?

Yes. Where a batch does not match the confirmed specification we supply free replacement parts and carry the freight; the practice is stated on the official proforma invoice and handled at batch level.

05 — Shipping & Customs

Ports, Door Delivery and Transit Time

Which ports do you ship from?

FOB Tianjin / Qingdao is the default. If you already have a forwarder in China, nominate the port and we load to your booking.

Can you deliver to my door?

Yes. Door-to-door DDP covers freight, customs clearance and duties; you provide the delivery address.

How long does door-to-door sea freight take?

Typically 30–45 days door-to-door by sea, depending on the destination.

How are the fittings packed for shipment?

Thread caps, anti-rust protection and moisture-barrier wrapping, inside solid wooden export crates of roughly 2–3 m³ per shipment.

What do you need to quote a freight line?

The destination port or country, and the shipment size or model mix. Add whether you want FOB with your own forwarder or door-to-door DDP.

06 — Warranty & After-Sales

Batch Problems, Service Life and References

What happens if a batch does not match the confirmed specification?

We supply free replacement parts and carry the shipping freight. It is handled at batch level through the export desk rather than argued case by case.

How do I raise a problem with a batch?

Contact the export desk with the batch and order details. The issue is checked against the confirmed specification and the replacement decision follows from there.

How long should the parts last?

Around 12 months of service on quality-grade parts. Low-grade parts typically fail at 6–7 months, which is why buyers on this service cycle reorder rather than switch.

Can I speak to an existing buyer?

Ask the export desk for references closest to your market and application. We do not publish invented customer quotes; we point you to real accounts we are allowed to share.

Still Unanswered?

If your question is about a specific part number, port or drawing, send it to the export desk. The first technical reply comes within 2 working hours, and asking costs nothing.
