Terms of Service

These terms cover the use of this website. The sale itself is governed by the quotation and the documents we agree with you, and those prevail.

The Short Version

  • ✓
This website is a catalogue. Using it does not, on its own, create a supply agreement between us.
  • ✓
The quotation, the drawing confirmation and the order documents govern the goods. Where they differ from a page on this site, they win.
  • ✓
We keep the catalogue accurate on a best-efforts basis; the specifications confirmed in writing for your order are the reference.
  • ✓
The written replacement-and-freight practice and the agreed specification govern a batch that does not match the confirmed drawing.

1. Scope

These terms apply to the use of this website and its content. They are not the contract of sale. The commercial relationship between us is governed by the quotation, the drawing confirmation, the proforma invoice and the documents agreed with you, and by the terms they contain. If anything on this website appears to conflict with those documents, the documents agreed with you prevail.

Nothing on this website is an offer capable of acceptance on its own: prices, minimum order values, lead times and shipping lines become binding only when they are confirmed in writing for your order.

2. Use of This Website

You may read, print and share this website's pages for the purpose of evaluating and buying our products. You may not use the site unlawfully, attempt to interfere with its operation or its security, or copy the catalogue into another listing, marketplace or comparison service as your own content. Automated bulk collection of the catalogue for that purpose is not permitted.

3. Accuracy of the Information

The catalogue, the specification tables and the technical notes on this website are maintained on a best-efforts basis and are provided for reference. Standard properties shown for a thread standard describe that standard, not a particular part. Prices, minimum order values, lead times and freight lines shown or discussed here become binding only when they are confirmed in writing for your order, and the drawing or specification confirmed in writing for your order is the reference for what we manufacture and ship.

4. Standards, Part Numbers and Third-Party Marks

Thread standard designations such as JIC, SAE, ORFS, DIN 2353, BSPP/BSPT, NPT and JIS are the designations of the bodies that publish them, and are used on this website to describe the threads we machine. They are references of identification, not a claim of affiliation, endorsement or certification by those bodies. Where a part number from another manufacturer is quoted to us for cross-reference, it is used only to identify the interface being matched.

5. Intellectual Property

The text, photographs, drawings, product data and layout of this website remain our property. You may quote a page and link to it when you are working with us, or reproduce part data inside your own procurement documents. You may not republish the site or its contents as a whole, or reuse our photographs and drawings in your own catalogue or advertising, without our written permission.

6. What This Website Does Not Promise

A page on this website is not a warranty of the goods. The specification confirmed in writing for your order governs what we manufacture, inspect and ship, and the replacement-and-freight practice published on this site applies to a batch that does not match that confirmed specification under the agreed operating conditions. Figures such as the service cycle, the salt-spray hours and the reorder rate describe our production standard and our field experience; they are not a guarantee of the life of an individual part in an individual system.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by the law that applies to your order, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from reliance on the content of this website, from a delay in the shipment of a trial or repeat order, or from the use of a part outside the pressure, thread and sealing conditions it was specified for. Nothing in these website terms limits the obligations we take on in the documents agreed for your order, including the replacement of a non-conforming batch and the freight that goes with it.

8. External Links

Where this website links to a page we do not operate, the content of that page is not ours and we do not control it. A link is provided for convenience and is not an endorsement, and we are not responsible for what that site publishes, collects or sells.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the law of the place of business of the seller, as agreed in the order documents for the sale. Any dispute about the goods is handled under the terms agreed for that order, including the choice of forum recorded there; a dispute about the use of this website itself is handled under the same law.

10. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated as the site and our product range change. The version published on this page at the time you use the site is the one that applies, and the version recorded in the documents agreed for your order governs that order.

11. Contact

Questions about these terms, about the use of a photograph or drawing, or about the documents agreed for an order go to the export desk at export@cythydraulics.com, which answers within 2 working hours during the workshop shift.

Reading the terms before an order, or after one?

Send the part list and the destination port, and the quotation that comes back carries the terms that govern that order — a 30% deposit to start and 70% before shipment, and free replacement parts and freight from us if a batch does not match the confirmed specification.
